Bookarama Haul 2013

The Rotary club here hold a massive booksale every year. It's amazing. For about a month before you can donate books and then for a week you can walk around a hall filled with hundreds of thousands of second hand books, pick out a haul and know that your donating to good charities. Every year we clean out our bookshelf to donate, then go and buy some back to fill it up again. Here's my haul from this year.

Bookarama Haul 2013Elephants Don't Sit on Cars, David Henry Wilson

Beside the Sea with Jeremy James, David Henry Wilson

The Borrowers Afield, Mary Norton

Paddington on Top, Michael Bond

The Uncommon Reader, Alan Bennett

The Blind Assassin, Margaret Atwood

The Aeneid, Virgil

The Three Musketeers, Alexandre Dumas

Little Women, Louisa May Alcott

The Pilgrims Progress, John Bunyan

I think I did particularly well in the children's section this year, I've been looking for some of David Henry Wilson's Jeremy James series in print for YEARS. The Three Musketeers and Little Women are both on my Classics Club list, so it's nice to pick them up in print. The Pilgrims Progress I actually already owned, but it was extremely battered and hubby and I are collecting classics with this particular binding. His haul included Westward Ho! in the same binding, which brings our total up to six (they aren't hard to find, but they're hard to find in good condition).
